EnVyUs repeat their Group A opening match performance against CLG by defeating the American team in the Group A decider match 2-1 (11-16 on de_overpass, 16-4 on de_cache, and 16-4 on de_cbble). The Group A decider match, which was merely for seeding purposes in the quarter-finals and thus not an elimination series, saw EnVyUs face-up against CLG yet again, with the two teams having met in the opener game that saw the Frenchmen scrape by with a 2-1 score. The first map of de_overpass yet again went the way of CLG, as it had in the opening match, as Stephen "reltuC" Cutler and his men had both a strong defensive set-up that enabled them to get a 9-6 first half and an equally strong T-side that gave the team the map with a 16-11 score.
However, EnVyUs' comeback was even more swift the second time around as the French team took down CLG with 16-4 scores on both de_cache and de_cbble. On both maps, CLG generally appeared lacklustre and without direction and Josh "jdm64" Marzano, who has generally been consistent against European teams on international events, struggled to show up. As a result, EnVyUs are through as a higher seed in the quarter-finals and they will take on the lower seed team from the Group B decider match on Saturday while CLG will play the higher seed team.
